Responsibilities:

I. Manages the quality assurance, inventory control, and accounts payable functions within the distribution center. Directs all daily activities including departmental audits, perpetual inventory tracking, year end inventory, and file maintenance.

III. System Admin activities.Qualifications
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Ensures department quality and inventory audits are completed according to established audit schedules and guidelines.

5. Monitors and reviews “trailers on lot” and company priority-receiving request with receiving operations manager and determines appropriate action in order to meet established goals.

6. Coordinates year end and cycle count inventory process. Ensures year-end inventory accuracy and year-end inventory accounting accuracy.

7. Ensures salvage and liquidation process is properly executed and provides follow up as necessary.

8. Hires, orients, trains, evaluates, oversees performance appraisals process, and develops management team and oversees same for hourly associates.

9. Manages the development, implementation, and administration of operational policies, programs, and systems. Establishes methods and procedures for developmental work activities, identifies and resolves operational problems, and communicates expertise and approvals concerning department activities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Logistics or equivalent.

2. Minimum of seven (7) year’s distribution center management experience or equivalent.

3. Effective leadership, administration, analytical, and oral and written communication skills.

Consults with other associates to locate alternative sources of information. Provides customer service, in accordance with MSC standards to ensure customer satisfaction, account retention and revenue generation.

Communicates customer concerns to management to ensure the most effective and lasting problem resolution. Resolves basic credit and collection issues to enhance customer service. Responds to customer non-telephone inquiries and takes appropriate action based on customer, product and sales knowledge. Provides customer service using all tools available including, but not limited to, email and the Internet. Learns and applies the MSC Culture to ensure proper direction of intentions and efforts. Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
