Position Responsibilities:


Inventory Management

Review and gather customer inventory levels and reconcile daily

Communicate with sites for corrections as needed and adjust loads

Analyze, evaluate and dispatch in line with customer needs


 


Fuel Dispatch and Pricing

Forecast and set loads for future shifts

Evaluate, adjust and monitor dispatched loads

Price and coordinate daily dispatch of fuel with vendors

Review drivers hours of service ensuring safety and in line with DOT regulations

Prioritize and assign loads by inventory, customer, price, pull points and geography

Dispatch virtual trucks to outside carriers


 


Customer Service

Receive and gather customer orders and communicate instructions to drivers

Ability to defuse situations, research problems and address concerns as needed


 


Truck Maintenance

Track and coordinate required truck maintenance, update and maintain DOT maintenance records

Communicate with drivers and vendors for scheduling required maintenance

Ability to coordinate truck and load changes due to breakdowns and quickly route deliveries to maintain schedule minimizing downtime and maintenance expense


 


Essential Skills and Experience

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

1-2 years Transportation Dispatch experience is preferred

Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, email/scheduling software

Must have working knowledge of DOT regulations

Ability to understand spoken/written English

The Branch Inventory Control Person is responsible for taking a full container inventory each month and checking branch paperwork; then reporting the findings to upper management.   Container Inventory includes lease-fleet, sales fleet, containers in use by Mobile Mini, the off-rent not picked up and on-site reports.  While taking inventory they will note any damaged units, and units which are not weatherized.  While in the yard they note yard organization and make sure general safety rules are being followed.

Paperwork checked includes In &Out Logs, driver paperwork, dispatch paperwork, forklift logs, outside hauling paperwork, damage and repairs (billed to customers) and fuel receipts.  This persona also helps with Due Diligence during acquisitions.

Basic Function:
 
This position is responsible for managing and coordinating the operation efforts of the Materials Department including production planning/scheduling inventory management, material replenishment and logistics.  The position is responsible for the long and short range planning of unit production, as well as internal and external communication regarding schedules and priorities.
 
Principle Duties:
 

Establish production plans that are consistent with the overall Division plans and goals and a realistic reflection of the plant's capabilities.
Develop communication and control systems and methods that provide effective coordination of all activities required to produce the production plan.
Manage and coordinate day-to-day activities to assure that the plan is being met and take corrective or alternative approaches where it is not.
Direct the procurement replenishment functions, establishing polices and guidelines to assure that quality, cost and delivery are obtained consistant with Division policies and objectives.
Communicate realistic expectations to plant Materials, Sales and Service departments to assure effective coordination.
Be responsible for the perpetual accuracy of inventories.
Develop and facilitate department Lean activities and training as well as support plant wide Lean initiatives.
Provide accurate forecasts of inventory for monthly, quarterly and yearly budget periods as necessary.
Direct the in-house activities to assure a smooth flow of unit shipments, parts and accessories while meeting customer delivery dates.
